Set up to help drivers with a disability to retain their independence with specially adapted vehicles, the government-funded initiative enables you to exchange your mobility allowance for a new vehicle of your choice.

In order to qualify for a Motability vehicle, you must have at least 12 months’ award length remaining on one of the following:

• Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (HRMC DLA)
• Enhanced Rate Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (ERMC PIP)
• War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
• Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)

If you don’t drive, or you have a child of over three years old who receives a mobility allowance, you can apply for up to two nominated drivers to drive on your behalf.

The Motability Scheme entitles you to more than simply a new MG vehicle. You’ll also benefit from servicing and maintenance, roadside assistance, insurance and more. In addition, when you order your car, you can specify driving, stowage or access adaptations to make your experience more convenient and comfortable.
